EXO PROTEX is the world’s first and only company to introduce and offer lifetime guarantee* racquet and paddle frame protection applications manufactured from lightweight aluminum alloy and shock absorbing acrylic foam covered with a UHMW polyethylene film.
We are honored to provide the racket and paddle community with two reliable frame protection solutions designed and engineered to resist repeat frame damage while playing racket and paddle sports on abrasive and walled courts, ensuring the performance and longevity of your equipment investment.
The patent pending tennis and pickleball Metallic Shields are guaranteed to stop surface wear wherever they are applied for the life of the racket. Impact Shields guarantee lifetime frame protection when applied to squash, racquetball, and badminton rackets and pickleball, padel, and table tennis paddles. Both shield products flex-fit to all frame shapes.
ABOUT EXO PROTEX

Why Metal & Foam? Why Not!
Superior Materials Make Superior Frame Protection
History and proven that many people fight change because of the lack of trust in new product designs and materials. The fear of the unknown makes many people concerned about how the change will disrupt their established skill level and overall playability.
The material evolution of racket and paddle frames from wood to aluminum to graphite/carbon fiber frames is proof that material and design changes were necessary to advance racket and paddle equipment performance and durability.
Same with the longstanding racket and paddle frame protection problem in high-impact areas. It's time to evolve from protection tapes made from thin, ineffective, strengthened polyurethane and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) materials, known to withstand 3-4 hard court contacts before it needs to be replaced, to a superior material.
One and done!
EXO PROTEX's patent pending Metallic Shield is made of a flexible yet durable aluminum alloy, guaranteed to guard the frames for tennis rackets and pickleball and plateform tennis paddles from further court wear damage for the life of the racket/paddle. The shield matches the tape product's thickness, weight, and ease of installation.
EXO PROTEX's NEW Impact Shield is made of an innovative 3-layer material engineered to retain its structure throughout a racket's lifespan and prevent scrapes, chips, cracks from hard court surfaces. Its durability goes far beyond industry standards, we guarantee the Impact Shield's unbreakable, high abrasive-resistant UHMW polyethylene film and shock absorbing acrylic foam will protect pickleball and padel paddles and racquetball, squash, and baminton racket frames from hard surface contact damage.
Both shields flex to fit all rackets and paddles, are easy to install, and ensure lasting equipment performance and value.
Attach it, that's it!
Best of all, beyond the lifetime guarantee, it's MAINTENANCE FREE! Never again will racket and paddle players have to endure the frustrating, non-stop chore of constantly applying and removing inefficient polyurethane tape. Why subject yourself to replacing the tape over and over, wasting valuable time and money. Furthermore, EXO PROTEX shields are designed to not interfere with the replacement of strings and grommets (a.k.a bumper guards).
Extra weight = POWER!
Each Metallic Shield weighs 1 gram (the weight of a paperclip) and a Impact Shield is 3.5 grams. It is common practice to add a small amount of weight at the top third of a racket head to improve power and stability at impact. Additionally, the shield’s few grams help to reduce frame-twisting on off-center hits.
Just the facts
Sporting equipment, especially rackets and paddles, endure extreme stresses and are confronted with harsh environments. Many actively involved racket and paddle sport enthusiasts struggle with extending equipment performance life and retaining its physical appearance and value.
Sporting activities played on smooth and abrasive floors and surrounded by solid walls and metal fencing will eventually damage sporting equipment. For example, tennis rackets and pickleball paddles are used while playing on such surfaces and are extremely susceptible to extensive wear with every swing. Padel, Racquetball, and squash rackets slam into hard surfaces regularly which will reduce their performance over time and possibly crack the frames.
Many racket and paddle manufacturers include a flexible plastic bumper guard to resist initial damage from harsh court surfaces. Unfortunately, continued use of a racket/paddle will experience further bumper guard surface wear and eventually the bumper guard will no longer cover high impact areas leaving the frame surface unprotected.
Additional unwanted frame damage to stringed rackets with a bumper guard occurs because a standard bumper guard is secured to the head of a racket by the strings; thus, it is held in place leaving the worn away areas unprotected from the harsh elements until the entire bumper guard is replaced during the re-stringing of a racket. Also, new generations of rackets are regularly released; this will leave past generations of rackets to be discontinued along with the production of replacement bumper guards for those rackets, resulting in the inability to properly protect a racket head when it is time to replace the bumper guard.
Alterative devices such as strengthened frame protective tapes state their products are durable and resist damage to racket and paddle sporting equipment from repeated contact with rough and hard court surfaces, but they lack durability. All tape products wear through after contacting a sand-grit surface two to three times in the same area of a frame. None of them can absorb the impact of a racket frame slamming a wall or fence.
Extensive damage to an unprotected frame significantly reduces a racket/paddle’s performance and overall value to the racket owner. Reluctantly, this is often the main reason why racket/paddle owners are forced to prematurely replace the equipment they specifically selected and planned on using for many years or hesitate to play with a classic racket/paddle they treasure.
